Climate change is an increasingly urgent global challenge, affecting ecosystems, economies and human life. In recent decades, global warming due to increased greenhouse gas emissions has become one of the main causes of climate change. The impacts include increasing global temperatures, extreme weather patterns, melting polar ice, and rising sea levels. All of these factors impact human health, food security and biodiversity. One of the main challenges in overcoming climate change is dependence on fossil energy. This energy source not only produces CO2 emissions, but also pollutes the environment. A transition towards renewable energy sources such as solar, wind and hydro power is a much needed solution. Countries can promote environmentally friendly technologies by providing incentives for the use of renewable energy. At the individual level, awareness of the importance of reducing the carbon footprint is essential. Reducing plastic consumption, using public transportation, and switching to a plant-based diet can reduce your carbon footprint. Public education about sustainability is also important, so that individuals can make wiser decisions. Adaptation to the impacts of climate change is also essential. Society needs to develop agricultural systems that are more resistant to extreme weather. For example, using plants that are resistant to drought or flooding can help maintain food security. Climate-resilient infrastructure, such as dams and good drainage channels, is also important to reduce the impact of natural disasters. International conferences such as the COP (Conference of the Parties) show a global commitment to addressing this problem. Climate agreements such as the Paris Agreement aim to limit global temperature rise to below 2 degrees Celsius. Countries are expected to set emissions reduction targets and report on their progress regularly. Changes in industry behavior are also very crucial. Companies can implement sustainable practices by reducing waste, recycling and optimizing production processes. Innovation in green technology can also create new jobs while reducing negative impacts on the environment. Integrating climate change policies in development plans is also very important. The government must create regulations that encourage emission reductions and investment in environmentally friendly infrastructure. This contributes to achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs). International collaboration and community participation are also important in climate change mitigation efforts. Non-governmental organizations and local communities play an active role in greening and environmental conservation projects. This involvement can increase the effectiveness of climate change programs and strengthen community resilience. In the context of solutions, information and communication technology (ICT) can be used to disseminate information and mobilize collective action. Digital platforms enable communities to share good practices and raise awareness of actions that need to be taken. Through a community-based approach, local initiatives can develop into global solutions. Through collaborative efforts involving government, society, and the private sector and with a focus on innovation, awareness, and education, we have the opportunity to overcome the challenges faced by climate change. Given the urgency of this issue, immediate action is needed to protect the planet and future generations.
